Omega's Obsession Playlist
I absolutely love listening to music while I write. While I do pick these playlists to listen to while I write, it is more so to emulate the vibe of the book I’m writing.
I won’t lie. My main playlists I listen to while writing are ‘dick appointment prep’ and ‘stripper vibessss’.
However, I absolutely adore this playlist, and I’d like to go over the interworkings of my mind and why I choose some of the songs I did.
Don’t Blame Me by Taylor Swift
This was probably the first song I knew had to be on this list. With Liv’s obsession with Dean and some of the things she does, she truly can’t be blamed. Dean is the Alpha she wants and she will stop at nothing to have him. Her Omega nature is very demanding of her and she can’t be held responsible for what it wants.
Gasoline by Halsey
This is one of my favorite all-time songs and I thought it really fit in with how Liv feels in her life. Like she is being used by multiple people and isn’t seen as a person who has needs and desires. Liv is such an interesting character and I felt this song fit her. She feels everything so deeply and she isn’t afraid of being emotional, but she is sick and tired of being used as well.
Sweet but Psycho by Ava Max
I feel like this is pretty self-explanatory but Liv is just the best Omega. She is a klepto and she doesn’t feel bad about it. She has stalkerish tendencies and isn’t afraid to be stalked either. So while she might have some screws loose we love her and she is sweet and adorable. I feel like this song also works for our Beta River as well.
A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More “Touch Me” by Fall Out Boy
I can’t be the only one who had a major Fall Out Boy phase back in the day. I felt like this song fit so perfectly with Liv not being shy about wanting Dean and him being a complete dumbass about the whole situation. The line
“Write me off, give up on me.
‘Cause darling what did you expect?
I’m just off, a lost cause, a long shot, don’t even take this bet”
Really clicked to me as being a Dean line, because he is always pushing her away when all he wants is to take care of her.
